Desi Style Chicken Pakoda

This is one of my personal favorite Snacks. I love Chicken Pakoda, but not the ones prepared in restaurants. The Desi style made Chicken Pakoda, Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, that hit hard to the taste buds.

Let it be a snack on a Rainy evening with a cup of hot tea or coffee, or an appetizer for a weekend party, also when guests are in and want something to munch in!!! Dipped in green chutney and some ketchup, This quick bite is the king of snacks and loved by Everyone.

Today I am going to share the super tempting recipe of Chicken Pakoda, prepared in perfect Desi style. This needs very few ingredients and comes out super tasty!!!
 

Ingredients :
  • Around 250gm Chicken - washed and cleaned (I like boned chicken, boneless can be tried if you prefer) 
  • Salt 
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste 
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder 
  • 1 tsp Kabab Powder (optional) 
  • 2 tbsp Besan 
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour Powder 
  • A pinch of Pakoda Color (optional) 
  • 1 tbsp Oil 
  • Oil for Frying 
  • 3 Green Chilly - vertically slit 
  • Some Curry Leaves
Please note, Egg white also can be added, But I usually don't add.

Recipe Details :

✓ Take chicken in a bowl. Add all the above ingredients and mix well in a way the masala is coated well on chicken.

✓ Cover it and keep aside for around 30 mins-1 hour. I usually prefer to keep inside fridge.
 

✓ After an hour, heat oil in a Kadai. Once the oil is hot, Add the marinated chicken pieces to oil for deep Frying. 
 

✓ Add the green Chillies and curry leaves for some added Flavour. This step is entirely optional.

✓ Deep fry the chicken pieces in medium flame until they turn golden red in color.


✓ Once the Pakodas turn golden red in color, remove them from oil and take out in a kitchen paper.

✓ Serve hot on a plate with some Green chutney and Tomato Ketchup.
