  • 4 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • Salt
  • 2 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 2 tsp Chicken Masala
  • 1 tsp Chicken Kabab Powder (optional)
  • A pinch of tandoori color (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil or Butter (you can use olive oil also)
  • 2 Big tomatoes - Blended and make puree

Recipe Details :

✓ Make cuts randomly all over the chicken pieces with the help of knife so that Masala can get in well.

✓ Make a semi-thick paste of ginger garlic paste, curd, salt,1 tsp Chilly Powder, 1 tsp chicken Masala, Kabab powder, food color and 1 tbsp oil.

✓ Take all the chicken pieces on a plate. Using hand, apply the masala paste well all over chicken and mix properly so that the masala gets into the chicken nicely. Keep the marinated chicken aside for 3-4 hours. I usually prefer to keep it in fridge overnight.

✓ In a Pressure Cooker over gas, take the rest of the oil and let it be hot.

✓ Once the oil is hot, add the tomato Puree to it. Add a pinch of salt, red chilly powder, chicken masala and mix well. Let the mixture cook for 1-2 mins in low flame.

✓ Now add the marinated chicken pieces to it along with the Masala where chicken was marinated.

✓ Close the lid and let the chicken cook until 2 cooker whistles in high flame and 1 in low flame.

✓ Switch off the gas flame and Let the cooker cool down.

✓ Take out the chicken from cooker and check with the help of a toothpick if it properly cooked. If you find chicken little raw and hard, please cook it for 1 more whistle.

Now Hold the chicken pieces with the help of a
Chimta(tong) and roast on gas flame keeping the flame high until the chicken is Tandoori nicely.

✓ Juicy, softy, tasty and delectable Tandoori Chicken is ready to serve hot with Lemon and some salads.
