Babycorn Fritters

Who does like Monday Blues, specially on a winter day... 
But when you are working and Monday becomes much hectic after a weekend.... 
Why not prepare something crispy and crunchy on a Monday winter evening to forget the Monday Blues!!! 
I got back from work, it was a rainy evening and I wanted to have something hot and crisp, but quick enough. 
I opened the fridge to find a packet of Babycorn. Why not make something delicious out of it ...😉




Ingredients :

  • 250 gm Babycorn 
  • 1 tbsp Rice flour 
  • 3 tbsp Maida 
  • 3 tbsp Corn flour 
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste 
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilly Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Kabab Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala 
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder 
  • Salt as per taste 
  • Oil to Fry

Recipe Details :
✓ Wash the Babycorn well and cut them in Either 2 or 4 pcs as you wish.


✓ In a pan take water with a little salt, Boil the Babycorn just for 2-3 mins till it's 30% cooked.

✓ Take them out and dry well using cooking paper.

✓ In a Bowl, add all the above ingredients (except oil). Keep adding water little by little and keep stirring to make a semi thick batter. Don't make the batter too watery/flowing.


✓ Meanwhile heat oil in a Kadai. Once the oil is hot, dip the Babycorn pieces one by one in the batter and put in oil.

✓ Fry in high flame until they turn golden Brown.
Take out in an absorbing tissue.
✓ Crispy Crunchy Yummy Babycorn Pakoda/Babycorn Fritters is ready to eat.

✓ Serve hot with a cup of tea/coffee.
