Chicken Zingy Parcel

Does the Zingy Parcel attracts you more than Pizza in the Dominos menu ?? These are tiny pocket versions of Pizza filled with delicious Chicken/Paneer stuffings inside. This Zingy, spicy, cheesy and sinful delicacy is favorite of all, specially kids. How about making them at home and devour as many as you can!!!

Though it needs a little effort, but at the end, the self customized version of Zingy Parcel is all worth to give a try.

"Chicken Zingy Parcel" from Panda's Kitchen in today's recipe. Even Paneer can be used in place of chicken.

Ingredients :

  • 1/4 cup Warm Milk 
  • 1 tsp Dry Yeast 
  • 1 tsp Sugar 
  • 1/2 tsp Salt + 1 tsp for stuffing 
  • 1 cup Maida (Makes around 10) 
  • 1/2 tsp Mixed Herbs + 1 tsp Mixed Herbs for stuffing 
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes 
  • 1 tbsp Oil/Melted Butter + 2 tsp Oil for stuffing 
  • 1 tsp finely chopped Garlic 
  • 1 Onion - finely chopped 
  • 1 small Tomato - finely chopped (optional) 
  • 1/2 Capsicum - finely chopped 
  • 1 tbsp Boiled Sweetcorn 
  • Around 150gm Chicken - cut into small pieces (or paneer) 
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder 
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup 
  • Around 2 tbsp Mayonnaise 
  • 1/2 cup grated Cheese / Cheese slices

Recipe Details :

✓ In a bowl take warm milk. Add yeast and sugar to it. Mix well and keep aside for around 10 mins. The yeast will get activated and form a layer. You can use warm water also in stead of milk.

✓ To this add Maida, 1/2 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Oil, 1/2 tsp mixed Herbs and Chilly Flakes mix. Mix well and knead to form a soft and smooth dough.

✓ Add 2 tsp oil and knead again for few more mins to form a softer dough.


 ✓ Cover and rest for around 3-4 hours in a warm place until the dough gets doubled with yeast effect. (I usually keep around 6-8 hours)


 ✓ 30 mins before preparing the parcel, let's get the stuffing mix ready. In a pan heat 2 tsp oil or butter.
Add chopped garlic and chopped onion, saute for few seconds.


✓ Now to this add chopped capsicum, sweetcorn and fry for few mins.

✓ Once the above is cooked a little, add the small chicken pieces along with salt. Mix everything and cook for around 5 mins till chicken is cooked nicely.


✓ Now add tomato and cook for few more mins. You can even skip tomato, this step is optional.

✓ Once the Tomato turns mushy and then soft, it's time to add the spices. Add red chilly powder, Pepper Powder, mixed Herbs and mix everything nicely.

✓ Add tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. Give everything a good mix and the super yummy  creamy stuffing is ready. Keep aside to use later.


✓ Once the dough is doubled in size, knead again for few more mins and make small size balls out of it.


✓ Take 1 dough ball and roll into a thick Puri. 


✓ Apply some water and give it the shape of your choice. I am giving it a triangle shape. 


 ✓ Roll again using a rolling pin and place some grated cheese/ cheese slices on it along with a tbsp of the stuffing and again add another layer of cheese on the top.

✓ Apply some water on the edges and seal them. Repeat the same steps for all the dough balls.


✓ Grease the baking tray with some oil. Place the Zingy Parcels on it to bake further. Apply some milk/butter on the top so that it gives a very nice color after baking. After applying milk, keep again covered for around 15-20 mins.


✓ Preheat the oven at 170°C  and keep the baking tray inside. Bake for  around 20-30 mins. Keep checking in between if it's baked perfectly.

✓ Once the Zingy parcels are baked, take them out, apply butter on the top and sprinkle some mixed herbs. Serve hot and get more love from your kids. 😉😍
