Vegetable Rava Cutlet

Winter evenings demand a warm cup of ginger tea along with a plateful of hot snacks. The best snacks need to be tummy-warming and taste-bud pleasing. Winter brings with it a whole array of fresh fruits and vegetables. How about turning these Winter vegetables into some delicious snacks?? 😉

Winter evenings are also short ones leaving very less time to dinner. So the snacks need to be quicker ones yet satisfying every cravings. 

"Vegetable Rava Cutlet" from Panda's Kitchen....!!!!

  Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Rava 
  • 1/2 cup Curd 
  • 1 Onion - finely chopped 
  • 1 Capsicum - finely chopped 
  • 1 Carrot - grated/finely chopped 
  • 2 tbsp Peas 
  • 1/4 cup grated Cheese 
  • 2 Green Chilly - finely chopped 
  • 6-8 Curry Leaves 
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds 
  • Salt 
  • 1/4 tsp Baking powder 
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder 
  • Oil to Deep fry

Recipe Details :

✓ In a bowl add Sooji/Rava along with curd. Mix well. Cover and keep aside for around 15-20 mins. Rava will soak water from curd and become soft.


✓ Now add all the other ingredients (except oil for frying) to it. Mix everything well and prepare a thick cutlet batter. 

✓ Grease palms with some oil. Take a small portion of the batter and give it the shape of cutlet.


✓ Meanwhile heat oil in a deep bottomed kadai. Once the oil is hot, add the cutlet pieces to it and deep fry for around 5-7 mins in medium flame. Alternatively,
Heat a pan and add 2 tsp oil, spread well. Place the cutlet pieces carefully and tawa-fry for around 4-5 mins each side in medium flame.


✓ Flip the sides in between. Take out from kadai and serve hot once they turn light brown in color.
