Ingredients :

  • 1 packet of Gulab Jamun Mix
  • Around 1 ltr Milk
  • 100gm Milk Mate (optional)
  • Sugar (as mentioned in the jamun packet for Jamun + 3 tbsp Sugar for Rabdi)
  • Water for making Sugar Syrup (same amount as of Sugar taken for Jamun)
  • 7-8 Cardamom/ 1.5 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • Some crushed Almonds/Pista and Cashew
  • Oil for frying

 Recipe Details :

✓ Take any gulab jamun mix packets easily available in market. I have used MTR Gulab Jamun mix. To start with, for preparing mini Jamoon, Let's Follow the instructions mentioned in packet.

✓ Empty the packet in a bowl and knead using milk to make a soft dough. Cover and keep aside for around 20 mins.

✓ Meanwhile let's prepare the sugar syrup. In a pan, take sugar and water. Break the cardamoms and add to it. Mix everything well and cook for around 5 mins in medium flame till sugar dissolves and form syrup.

✓ Grease your hands and make very small balls out of it. Note that, we are going to make mini jamoons, so make the half size of balls than we use for regular gulab jamun.

✓ Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan. Deep fry the small dough balls in medium flame till they turn golden brown in color.

✓ Add the fried balls to sugar syrup.keep inside dipped for around 10-15 mins till they become soft. Mini Jamuns are ready.

✓ Heat the rest of the milk in a pan. Let it come to boil and then lower the flame. Boil in simmer for around 30-40 mins. Keep stirring and mixing in between so that it doesn't get burned. Boil till milk gets condensed and thick, reduced to half.

✓ Now add sugar, cardamom powder and milk mate to it. Mix and cook for few more mins. Don't make the rabdi too thick as it becomes thick automatically once cold.Rabdi is ready. Leave it for sometime to get cool.

✓ Pour the Rabdi to a serving bowl and add the mini Jamuns to it.

✓ Garnish with some crushed dry fruits and the delicious dessert is ready to grab.
