Kartik month is an auspicious month in Hindu Culture. It's believed that Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are together worshiped in this month. Many people do fast (Habisa in Odia) and follow certain restrictions during the entire month. In food, they avoid all types of non-veg and some don't take Onion, garlic and lentils too.
For the lady of the house, it's very difficult to choose a dish fulfilling all these criteria without much repetition for a month. Isn't it ?? 🤔 Today's recipe my Naani Maa used to prepare during Kartik Month, specially on Mondays. It's very easy to prepare and tastes great along with Steam rice (Arua Anna) and Moong Dal Dalma.
