Sweet Potato Tikki

Any Sweet Potato Lovers here?? I bet, the number is very less.

But do you know, it provides a number of health benefits??
Being a rich source of Vitamin A, it keeps the eyes healthy and increases body's defense capacity against germs. Sweet potato also lowers the risk of cancer, bad cholesterol, obesity and controls blood-sugar level.

I hope, that convinced you to have this vegetable regularly. Along with the health benefits, it's comparatively cheaper and easily available in almost vegetable corners. My today's recipe is all about "Sweet Potato".

It's a healthy recipe, uses just 1 tsp olive oil. The sweetness of sweet potato and tanginess of other ingredients gives it an unique flavor. Try the quick recipe and share your feedback in Comments Section.


 Ingredients :
  • 250 gm Sweet Potato
  • 1/2 tsp Salt  
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder 
  • 1/4 tsp Black Salt 
  • 1/2 tsp Chat Masala 
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder 
  • 1/4 tsp Amchur Powder 
  • 2 full tsp Corn Flour  
  • Green Chilly - finely chopped 
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves 
  • 1/2 Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
Recipe Details :

✓ In a pressure cooker, add 1 glass of water and 1/2 tbsp Salt.Boil sweet potato till 4 whistles in high flame.



✓ Peel it and smash well.


✓ To this, Add all the other ingredients (except oil).



✓ Mix everything nicely. 


✓ Take small portions and give it the shape of a tikki.  


✓ Heat a pan and brush with just 1 tsp oilve oil. Place the tikkis carefully and tawa-fry for around 3-4 mins each side in medium flame. 



✓ Keep flipping in between.




✓ Take out in a plate once both the sides are light brown in color.

✓ Serve hot with your favorite Chutney or ketchup or use as patty inside burger.
