There should be something rich before pocket gets empty... How about Prawn, famously known as the hero and easy to prepare ingredient. 😉

Today's Prawn recipe from my kitchen is "Kadai Prawn Fry", the fastest prepared and most delicious prawn dish.
- 500gm Medium-size Prawns - clean and deveined
- Salt
- 3 tsp Red Chilly Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 Bayleafs
- 1 tbsp Curd
- Around 3 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 3 Onions - Sliced or finely chopped
- 2 Medium size Tomatoes - finely chopped
- 1 Capsicum - cut to cubes
- 2 Green Chilli
- 2 twigs Curry Leaves
Recipe Details :
✓ Let's start with Prawn Marination. In a bowl, take the Prawns. Add salt, 1 tsp red chilly powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, curd. Mix and Marinate for around 1 hour.
✓ In a kadai, heat 1 tbsp oil. Once the oil is hot, put the Marinated prawns and fry them in medium flame for around 5 mins till they become dry and light brown in color. Take out in a plate.
✓ In the same kadai, heat the rest of the oil. Add 1 bay leaf and the sliced onions. Fry the onions for around 2-3 mins.
✓ Add green chilli and ginger garlic paste. Fry for 2-3 mins more till the raw smell is gone.
✓ Add Capsicum and Curry leaves. Cook for around 2-3 mins.
✓ Now add the chopped tomatoes and salt. Mix and cook till tomato becomes soft and mushy.
✓ To this, add the rest of the turmeric powder, red chilly powder, pepper powder and Garam Masala powder. Mix nicely and cook for 3-4 mins more till oil starts to separate.
✓ Now add the fried Prawns and give a good stir so that the masala gets well mixed with prawns.
✓ Cover and Cook in low flame for around 2 mins. Switch off the flame after 2 mins and Kadai Prawn Fry is ready.
✓ Garnish with some coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and sambar/rasam.
