Egg Fingers

You must have tried Potato Fingers, Ladyfingers Fingers and even Fish fingers, which is one of my favorites.. Have you ever tried Egg Fingers??? Not yet??

If you are an egg lover, Please try out this super easy and quick snacks recipe along with a cup of hot tea/coffee.

Egg Fingers come out so crispy and crunchy that it's hard to find that you have really used egg. Even kids would love it in Tiffin box to school.

There are sudden guests at home, no worries.. Egg must be there in fridge!!! This recipe is super quick to prepare.. Please try it out and let me know in comments section if you liked it..😉



 Ingredients :
  • 6 Eggs 
  • Salt 
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilly Powder 
  • 1/4 Tomato - finely Chopped (Optional) 
  • Some Coriander Leaves - Finely Chopped (Optional) 
  • 2 Green Chilli - Finely Chopped 
  • 1 tsp Cornflour 
  • 1 tsp Maida 
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano 
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly Flakes 
  • 5 tbsp Milk 
  • Breadcrumbs 
  • Oil for Frying
Recipe Details :

✓ Break the Eggs in a bowl. Add Salt, red chilly powder, pepper powder, Tomatoes and Coriander Leaves. Beat well to make a soft and smooth texture.


✓ Take a pan. Add 1 tbsp of oil and spread nicely. Add the beaten eggs mixture to it, cover it and cook in a medium flame for around 3-5 mins or till the egg becomes hard in texure.

✓ Alternatively, Add the eggs mixture to a greased plate. Heat some water in a heavy bottomed pan and place the Plate inside the pan on a stand. Cover it and Steam for around 15-20 mins in low flame until the egg hardens.


✓ Take the egg out in a plate. Cut them vertically in shape of finger of around 0.5 inch width.


✓ Let's make a liquid mixture now with Maida, Cornflour, salt, Chilly Flakes, Oregano and milk. If required, add a little water and create a liquid slurry. Take some breadcrumbs in a plate.

✓ Take one egg slice, first dip in the flour Slurry and then coat nicely with breadcrumbs. Again dip one more time in the flour Slurry and then again coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat the same for all egg slices.
The slices are ready now for frying.

✓ Heat oil in a Kadai for frying. Deep fry the egg slices in a high medium flame until they turn golden brown in color. Fry all of them in batches.

✓ Take out in a kitchen towel to soak the excess oil from fingers.

✓ Egg Fingers is ready now to serve hot with a cup a tea.
