Cauliflower Fritters (Gobi Pakoda)

Winter is here!! One of the 100 reasons I personally love winter is because I'll get to eat lot of fresh cauliflower, yeeeeyyyy!! 😁
Cauliflower is one of the king veggie, which can be used to make varieties of dishes.
It has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties too.
Let's start with this simple and super-tempting tea-time snacks with cauliflower uurrff Gobi.

Ingredients :
  • 1 small Cauliflower
  • 1 Big Onion - Chopped
  • 2-3 Green Chilly - Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tea-cup Gram Flour
  • 1/2 tea-cup corn flour/rice flour
  • A pinch of Baking Soda
  • 5-6 Curry leaves
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 tsp Chicken Kabab Powder(optional)
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3-4 tbsp water
  • Oil for Frying

Recipe Details :

✓ Take big florets from the cauliflower. Add them in water with a tsp of salt. Boil it for around 5 mins. Please make sure not to over-boil to get the cauliflower taste intact.

✓ Take it out and allow to cool down. Cut them into small florets.

✓ Transfer the florets to a bowl. Add all the above ingredients (except oil) to it.

✓ Combine them well to make a good mixture with thick consistency. Don't add too much water, the consistency should be just to stick the mix nicely with cauliflower.

✓ Meanwhile heat oil in a kadai. Once the oil is hot, fry the cauliflower florets for around 3-4 mins untill it gets a nice fried color.

✓ Take them out in a kitchen tissue to get the oil absorbed.

✓ Sprinkle a little black salt all over. Serve hot along with ketchup and a cup of hot tea.
